[edit] Synopsis
Cory gets detention for being the class clown, and on his way out he sees an answer sheet for an upcoming IQ test in the trash. He decides to memorize the answers, score high, and finally get Feeny to respect him. He scores highest in the school, making Feeny very suspicious, and is given a letter for his parents. Shawn opens the letter and, learning Feeny has not expressed his suspicions, convinces Cory to keep up the act.
His parents are not fooled at all, but refrain from accusing him in hope he would admit it himself. Cory enjoys people thinking he's a genius until Feeny tells him he will soon transfer to a school for prodigies. Cory gets angry at Shawn and, after shooting him with a Nerf gun, rants at him.
Shawn points out that Cory has to take another test to get into the new school, one he can't possibly pass, so Cory takes it with the best of his ability. However, the snooty tester believes Cory failed on purpose to stay with his friends, forcing Cory to come out about it in front of his parents.
Later, on Halloween, Feeny realizes the trick-or-treaters aren't liking the rulers he was giving out, and stops at the Matthews' for some candy. While Amy goes to get more candy, three trick-or-treaters show up. One of them, speaking in a weird voice, recognizes Feeny and says that Cory told him he was the best teacher in the whole school. Feeny, convinced the trick-or-treater is Cory, takes off his mask to reveal another kid. Feeny apologizes for the misunderstanding and gives him the rest of the rulers before leaving with the candy. After he's gone, the other two trick-or-treaters take off their masks to reveal Cory and Shawn. "And they say I'm not a genius," brags Cory with a grin.
