After a last-minute change of plans, Alan wakes Cory to watch a late-night baseball game. The next day in class, Cory falls asleep and fails a test. Alan then goes to Mr. Feeny to ask him to give Cory a make-up test, which is refused. This leads to a clash of "father vs. teacher".
