Cal Kilbride is the local weatherman at WIXB. He is something of a celebrity, and an icon of Eric's.
According to Pat Darby, Cal has a thing about his right side, so he encourages Eric to only approach him from the left. Cal treats Eric with false comradery, as he says they're all equal, then immediatly follows it with the fact that he's on the top and Eric's on the bottom. He also gets Eric to launder his pants, taking them off in the middle of the station floor. When Cal goes on vacation to the Caribbean, the backup weatherman does not show up and Eric is forced to read the weather.
