Katherine was a woman that was interested in George Feeny. She invited Feeny out on a date to Starbucks because they both were alone, but he dismissed her, and waved her off. However, Feeny did not realize that Katherine was interested in him, as he only became aware of her intentions after Eric Matthews revealed them to him.
He and Katherine later went on a date, and ended up back at her house. Feeny unknowingly insulted Katherine's poetry when she read it to him, and he said it was promising for a beginner, though she had been writing for 20 years. Eric told Feeny that that was not what Katherine wanted to hear.
