Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is the sixth most populous city in the United States of America. Phildelphia was the second capital of the United States, from 1781 to 1783 and then from 1790 to 1800. Philadelphia also has very close proximity to New Jersey and Atlantic City.

The city is noted for its great historical significance. For instance, it is the location of the drafting of the Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution.

Several sports teams play in the city. Included on the list are the Phillies (MLB), the 76ers (NBA), the Eagles (NFL), and the Flyers (NHL).

• Boy Meets World takes place in Philadelphia, with all of the main characters supposedly born there.
  • Topanga and Joshua are the only two characters definately confirmed of this, in A Long Walk to Pittsburgh: Part 2 and My Baby Valentine respectively.
• Also, all of the characters live in Philadelphia.
  • Cory (and his family), Topanga, and Mr. Feeny all live in the suburbs
  • Shawn lives in a trailer park nearby
  • Mr. Turner and Mr. Williams supposedly live in apartments in a more urban area
  • The apartment, that almost all of the characters live in at some point, is also probably located in a more urban area, supposedly in very close proximity to Pennbrook.
• Jefferson Elementary, John Adams High, and Pennbrook University are all located in Philadelphia.
• Cory is a huge fan of Philadelphia Phillies. Earlier on, this fanhood is accentuated.
  • In Class Pre-union, Cory dresses up as his wished future profession: centerfielder for the Phillies.
• In Eric Hollywood, Shawn and Jack plan to attend a 76ers game with Cory, until the two contract chicken pox.
