Cory: Our futures are set! We are high-school gods! Come, let us repair to the gym and rejoice in our invitations.
Shawn: It's gonna be kinda hard, since I didn't get one.
Cory: What?
Shawn: I didn't get an invite. No biggie.
Cory: There's gotta be a mistake. You're the coolest guy in class. You've gotta be invited.
Shawn: Yeah, well, looks like I'm not.
Cory: I'm gonna find out what happened. [...]
Cory: Hi. I'm Cory.
Melissa: So?
Cory: So you invited me to your party.
Melissa: What do you want?
Cory: I think you made a mistake.
Melissa: No, it's not a mistake. You're really invited.
Cory: No, I mean about Shawn. You forgot to give him his invitation.
Melissa: No, I didn't. He's not invited.

Plot

Their first high school party is just a few days away, and Cory and Shawn are anxious to get their invitations. Cory is adamant that such an invite would put him on "The Cool List", and seal his fate in high school. He worries that he is not cool enough to be invited, but Shawn is. However, the tables seem to have been turned when Cory, not Shawn, is invited to the party. Little does Cory know that only "nerds and geeks" will be there. After a talk with Mr. Turner, Cory learns the true meaning of friendship.

Quotes

Alan: Why are they sending me these catalogs? Geriatric Discount Warehouse? I mean, this isn't Victoria's Secret. What's New in Life Support? How did I get on this mailing list?
Amy: Have you sent away for something?
Alan: No. Well, maybe I sent away for some high-potency vitamin E.
Amy: What's that for?
Alan: For you. It's a guy thing. It makes you more... durable.
Amy: Oh, really? How much do you take?
Alan: All of it.
Amy: That is so sweet.
