Trini Martin is Topanga's best friend during the first year of high school. She is a very annoying girl who does not behave lady-like at all, which leads to Cory greatly disliking her. She feels that Topanga is the only one who truly understands her. She can call her in the middle of the night, not say a thing, and Topanga will still know who called.
In My Best Friend's Girl, she and Shawn conspired to get Cory and Topanga together. She complained that she almost had to kiss Cory.
In The Last Temptation of Cory, she was left partnerless with Topanga out sick, and Cory partnered up with Missy Robinson to avoid being with her.
